Top 10 Minecraft Prison Server IPs in 2026, Java and Bedrock
The best Minecraft prison server IP in 2026 is play.talonmc.net for TalonMC Prison,
and the full top 10 in order is TalonMC, JartexNetwork, Minecraft Central, Complex Gaming, ManaCube, ExtremeCraft, OPBlocks, Purple Prison, CosmicPrisons and SaiCoPvP. Every address below is the one we ping ourselves, so it is the one
that answers, and each comes with what the server runs, whether Bedrock gets in, and who it suits.
How we picked these ten
The order is ours, set after joining and playing every server, and it is the same order as our Minecraft prison server ranking. Nobody paid for a place on it. What we do not leave to judgement is the address itself: each IP here is the one the server answers a status ping on, not a vote-tracking subdomain or a redirect, and Bedrock support means an actual reply on port 19132 rather than a line on a website. Every address uses the default Java port, 25565, so you never need to type a port on Java. The methodology page sets out what we weigh when we order them.
One honest caveat before the list. Most of these addresses belong to networks, and a network answers one status ping for everything it runs, so the size of the server and the size of its prison are different numbers. That is why this page talks about what each server runs and not how busy it is.
#1 TalonMC: custom-coded OP prison with a free rank on join
IP: play.talonmc.net. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.8 - 26.2.
Custom-coded rather than a stock prison plugin. You move through its mines with /mine goto, mine Tokens, and spend them on OP enchants: Jackhammer for full layers, Nuke for chunk blasts, Vein Miner, Token Miner, Key Finder and Wild Blaze. Rebirths, multipliers and a dynamic /upgrade system sit behind that. It is free to join, /freerank hands you a rank on your first join, there are daily keyalls, and ranks and crates are earnable in game through play, votes and events. The store sells boosts as well, so as with any server, check what it sells and whether that decides outcomes for you.
Best for: OP prison with a rank from day one.
#2 JartexNetwork: mines, cells and gangs, documented on its own wiki
IP: play.jartexnetwork.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.8 - 26.2.
Jartex documents its prison on its own wiki rather than leaving you to guess: public mines, a personal cell to build in, gangs with missions and an outpost to capture, and three currencies, with Crystals buying the custom enchants. It published dated notes for its last prison reset on 24 July 2026 (its own reset page), covering a new spawn, gang logging and prestige cap changes.
Best for: gangs, cells and a documented ruleset.
#3 Minecraft Central: a long-running network with a freshly reset prison
IP: play.mccentral.org. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.8 - 26.2.
Minecraft Central is a long-running multi-gamemode network, and its own server message was advertising a fresh prison reset when we last pinged it, so the mode is maintained rather than parked. Use the play. address: that is the one that answered our Bedrock ping, and the bare domain did not.
Best for: classic prison on a fresh reset.
#4 Complex Gaming: prison as one lane of a very wide network
IP: play.mc-complex.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.7.2 - 26.2.
One of the longest-running modded networks in Minecraft, with prison as one lane of a very wide lineup. It sits top of the prison category on two of the three public vote sites we check. The trade is breadth: it is a general network rather than a prison-first server.
Best for: a big network with prison as one option.
#5 ManaCube: prison next to half a dozen other modes
IP: play.manacube.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.8 - 26.2.
ManaCube lists prison in its own server message next to survival, parkour, earth, PvP, skyblock and creative. That makes prison one lane of a genuinely broad network rather than the whole product, which suits anyone who wants to switch modes without switching servers.
Best for: switching between prison and other modes.
#6 ExtremeCraft: prison with a custom item economy, Java only
IP: extremecraft.net. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Java only: it did not answer a Bedrock ping. Versions: 1.7.2 - 26.2.
A long-established network that runs prison alongside survival and a custom item economy, and the highest-placed entry here in TopG's prison category. Its proxy accepts clients from 1.7.2 upwards.
Best for: Java players on older clients.
#7 OPBlocks: seasonal OP prison on season 34
IP: play.opblocks.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.8 - 26.2.
OPBlocks names prison in its own server message and had just launched prison season 34 when we pinged it, so seasonal resets are the rhythm here rather than one permanent world. It runs close to its advertised slot ceiling at peak, so expect a queue at busy hours.
Best for: starting fresh every season.
#8 Purple Prison: a prison-only server on the classic ladder
IP: purpleprison.net. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Bedrock, console and mobile join the same address on port 19132. Versions: 1.7 - 1.21.
Purple Prison is a prison-only server rather than a network lane, so everyone on it is there for prison. Its own server message points at crate drops and warp PvP, and it accepts clients from 1.7 all the way to 1.21, one of the widest ranges we measured.
Best for: a prison-only server on the classic ladder.
#9 CosmicPrisons: prison-only, on one modern client version
IP: play.cosmicprisons.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Java only: it did not answer a Bedrock ping. Versions: 1.21.11.
CosmicPrisons is the other prison-only entry, and its server message was advertising Version 6.0 Celestial with major changes when we pinged it. It runs a single client version, 1.21.11, rather than a wide range, so check your launcher before you paste the address.
Best for: Java players on 1.21.11.
#10 SaiCoPvP: a realms network that had just reset everything
IP: saicopvp.com. Java on the default port, so paste the address on its own. Java only: it did not answer a Bedrock ping. Versions: 1.8 - 1.21.11.
SaiCoPvP runs its gamemodes as separate realms and had just reset all of them when we pinged it. Its own site lists prison among the realms, though the status message we captured did not name any mode, so treat the prison realm as something to confirm on join.
Best for: a fresh start across several realms.

Bedrock means the address answered a ping on port 19132 when we checked. If you only want the addresses with copy buttons, the prison server IP list has exactly that, and the Bedrock prison servers page keeps the crossplay entries together.
How to choose between these IPs
Start with the shape of prison you want, because it decides more than anything else on the list. OP prison multiplies sell prices, enchants and prestige loops so numbers climb fast; classic prison keeps the lettered mine ladder slow and makes the warps matter. On this list the OP entries are TalonMC, JartexNetwork, OPBlocks and CosmicPrisons, and the classic ones are Minecraft Central, Purple Prison and ManaCube. OP prison versus classic prison explains the split properly.
Then check your client. Prison has an old player base, so most of these addresses accept anything from 1.8 to 26.2, but CosmicPrisons wants 1.21.11 exactly and Purple Prison tops out at 1.21. If you play on console or mobile, only the Bedrock entries will let you in at all. After that it is a question of company: a prison-only server means everyone around you is mining, and a network means the prison is one room in a bigger building.
Adding a prison server IP on Java and on Bedrock
On Java Edition: open Multiplayer, choose Add Server, paste the address, and join. No port is needed for any
address on this page. On our number one, pick Prison from the network menu once you are in, run
/freerank, then /mine goto to start mining.
On Bedrock, console or mobile: open the Servers tab, add a server, paste the same address into the address field and put 19132 in the port field, which is the Bedrock default. If an address on this page is marked Java only, it will simply time out on a console, so do not waste the evening retrying it. If you are new to prison and want the first hour explained before you pick, our prison servers for new players post walks through it.
Frequently asked
What is the best prison server IP?
The prison server IP we rank first is play.talonmc.net, which is TalonMC Prison. It runs custom-coded OP prison with a rank on your first join through /freerank, and it takes Java and Bedrock clients on the same address.
What port do Minecraft prison servers use?
Java Edition servers use port 25565 by default, and every address on this list uses it, so you paste the address on its own. Bedrock clients connect on port 19132, which you type into the separate port field on console and mobile.
Can I join a prison server IP on Bedrock or console?
Only if the server answers on port 19132, and we ping that port on every address we list. On this page TalonMC at play.talonmc.net, JartexNetwork, Minecraft Central, Complex Gaming, ManaCube, OPBlocks and Purple Prison answered; the rest are Java only.
Why will a prison server IP not connect?
The usual causes are a client version outside the range the server accepts, a Java-only address pasted into a Bedrock client, or a typo in the address. Minecraft Central is a specific trap: its Bedrock endpoint answers on the play. address and not on the bare domain.
Is there a prison server IP that works on 1.8?
Yes, most of them. Nine of the ten addresses here accept 1.8 or older clients, including play.talonmc.net, which accepts 1.8 to 26.2. CosmicPrisons is the exception at 1.21.11 only.
